Wash U Racing (also known as WURacing) is Washington University in St. Louis' Formula SAE team. Each year we design and build an open-wheel formula-style race car. Once the car has been completed, it is brought to an annual intercollegiate competition in Michigan. At competition, over 100 universities from around the world compete in a variety of static and dynamic events. These events test not only the car's performance, but also design quality and commercial viability. The overarching purpose of the Formula SAE competition (and the team at Wash U) is to gain real world experience in application of engineering principles.
